![]() ![]() I personally decided to make my way over to Heritage Outpost after seeing one-too-many Instagram posts about it on my feed. Heritage Outpost is the sister coffee shop of the Heritage location mentioned above. Heritage mentioned twice on this list?! Sorry, but it’s simply just too good to pass up. Located: 2959 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60657 2. My favorite things to get are a latte, and a biscuit (they bring them in from Bang Bang Pie!) The coffee and drinks at this shop are delicious and I love the pastries, too. It actually adds a nice novelty element and is fun to watch on a study break. Don’t worry, though, the bike side of the building isn’t loud or out of place. This location is half bike shop, half cafe. It’s basically what I want my future kitchen/home to look like. The decor in the shop is extremely minimalistic (and beautiful). Heritage is snuggled in a perfect location in Lakeview, with just enough hustle + bustle around, but not so much that it’s distracting. Yes, there is both bicycles and coffee at this place. ![]() If you happen to visit this location on a Friday/Saturday, I will most likely be there. This is the hands down the coffee shop I frequent the most in Chicago. I know how important that can be! □ The Best Chicago Coffee + Coffee Shops 1. Yes, I have tried all of the Wifi connections at all of these locations and yes, they all work well. (Am I okay?) Well, I’m a night owl and a college student! Give me a break. I can’t remember the last time I went a day without drinking it. So I’ve decided to round-up the best Chicago coffee!Ĭoffee is the juice that keeps me going on long days and drags me out of bed on cold mornings. If you’re anything like me, coffee is very important. The 5 places I’ve listed below are my tried and true spots and get the Emma Lenhart stamp of approval. These places are (in my opinion) the best Chicago coffee shops. So, I did the work for you and compiled a list for you to refer to in your pursuit to find the perfect cup of joe. I know how boring it can be to work/study in the same old spots, and I also know how expansive the city of Chicago is. ![]() We are already talking about when we can fit in another visit. As a recent Chicago newbie, I set out on a mission to survey the streets to find the best Chicago coffee and coffee shops. The coffee was just like we remembered the first time around, and just what we were hoping for - smooth, not too bold and not too acidic. One of the reasons we started this adventure was to make sure that we took some time during the week to spend together, explore, meet new people, and it's always a bonus when we run into old friends - which is exactly what happened at Gaslight. The large windows are not only perfect for people watching, but also for letting in the best light, which varies throughout the big open space. ![]() Considering Gaslight is located on the corner of a very busy Logan Square intersection, the peacefulness was unexpected. Most of the customers were on their laptops, which made it library quiet (aside from the tunes playing overhead) and added to the peaceful vibe. We were, however, happy to see a few open tables and seats to choose from. We went on a Sunday afternoon and before we got there, we assumed it would be crowded. especially when it's not in walking distance to our condo. With all of the coffee shop options, a place must be pretty darn good to visit more than once. ![]()
